While it is still somewhat new, the place is fast becoming a popular spot. The menu is updated on a regular basis and features anything from a traditional burger, to a nice (healthy sized) steak. We decided to sit at the bar one evening and sample some bar food as our meal.
The bar atmosphere is lively and the restaurant offers a couple of big screen televisions for people looking to take in the game. The bartenders are friendly and the service is fantastic. We never waited for refills on our drinks and the entire staff seemed to be in a great mood during our entire meal. The restaurant itself has a high ceiling and a great patio set-up for the warm weather months.
For dinner we tried the beef filet ($18). We were not sure what to expect in terms of quality, but we were extremely impressed with the quality and the preparation. To keep it short and sweet, the steak was great. Especially for the very reasonable price. We also ordered the Barbecue Pork Sandwich($9) and the Boring burger ($9). Both sandwiches were served relatively quickly and we were impressed with the size. The Charlie Burger ($10) which has both beef and sausage within the patty may be one of the best “under the radar” burgers in the city. Trust me, this burger is worth a try!
Overall Club Charlie’s is a fun spot for either a quick bite or a nite on the town. I would say that it serves great bar food, but that would undersell the offering. They really have a great menu that is a step above what is typically considered “bar food.”
Specials are offered on a nightly basis. Anything form ½ price bottle of wine night, to $4 24’s of Miller and PBR. They also have a trivia night and Sunday Brunch available.
