Perhaps one of the best kept pizza secrets in town, Rustico serves up a very enjoyable dining experience. The bar area has large windows that offer diners a view of the town while enjoying one of their numerous wines or beers on tap. During our visit, the ladies enjoyed a nicely priced bottle of wine while most of the guys had draft beer (Peroni). The dining room extends from the east side of the building all the way over towards the river. There is a lower level that is open on occasion that can open up a number of tables.
Rustico has a great deck area located right on the river. Diners have the opportunity to enjoy a nice evening while watching the sunset or the boats pass. We enjoyed the Fried Olives ($7.95) and Bruschetta ($5.95) while watching numerous summer boat cruises pass.
We sampled three different pizzas and all received great reviews from our group. The first was the “Bianca” ($12.95/$16.95) which is a cheese pizza that even a meat lover must enjoy. The crust was great and the blend of cheeses was perfect. We did not have any left overs of this pie.
Our second pizza was the “Carne” ($14.95/$18.95) which is about the polar opposite of the first pizza mentioned and is not for the faint of heart. It contains pepperoni, sausage, and pancetta and definitely will satisfy even the hungriest of diners. The meat lovers at our table definitely enjoyed this menu item.
Finally, we rounded out our order with the “Piccante” ($14.95/$18.95). This is a specialty pizza that packs a punch. It is slightly spicier than other entrees but it is not overwhelming.
One of the more unique things about Rustico is that limited delivery options are available. This restaurant has some very nice Happy Hour Specials Throughout the Week. So follow them on Social Media to find out more information.
