Restauarant Review: Mozzaluna Restaurant Review

Located on Capital Drive in Brookfield, Mozzaluna Restaurant is a fairly new Italian Restaurant.

The restaurant itself is a little bit hard to find. It is located in the Stonewood Village Center. Once you enter there is a nice bar area that is a good spot for a pre dinner drink. However, it is a little bit on the small side so if it gets crowded, the bar area can get a bit tight.

We started the night with some appetizers. The Mozzarella Sticks and Garlic Bread were standard fare.

For dinner we went with pizza although the menu offers almost any italian item once could imagine. We went with the Diavola. The pizza was spicy featuring, soppressota, red pepper flakes, and italian sausage. The hardest part for me was the price point. While the food was good, I could not get over the expense of something so small. Fresh mozzarellas was an additional $2.00. We went with the Diavoloa and that started at $12.99 and ended at nearly $15.00. The pizzas are only served in one size, and quite honestly it is not that big.

We also went with the Margherita Pizza. The crust was well cooked and we were a big fan of the sauce. Once again, the pizza was of a high quality and received rave reviews.

Overall, the food is very good. The pizzas are unique and they offer quite a few different varieties. They also offer a gluten free option for those inclined. My only issue is the pricing and the lack of different size offerings. In my opinion, this fact makes it a little more difficult for the consumer. Again, good food, but high prices.
